Fiquei muito feliz em ser selecionado, é mais um passo para minha carreira.

Dear Artist and / or Connoisseur of Engraving,

the Expert Jury of the IX Edition of “Acqui Prize for Engraving” met on the 28th of November 2008: on that day all the works sent to the Acqui Prize secretary's office have been analysed and only the works complying with the expected requirements as indicated in the Rules for participation have been ADMITTED TO ENTER INTO THE COMPETITION.

In total the admitted works came out to be 590: the members forming the Expert Jury reviewed all the works admitted to enter into the competition, then selected 236 works and changed at their discretion the fixed number. These selected works will be displayed during the International Biennial Exhibition for Engraving taking place from 20th June to 8th July 2009 in Acqui Terme. The works admitted to enter into the competition, but which have not been selected, will be included into special books provided for consultation in the exhibition area.

A list with all the names of the Authors of the works admitted to enter into the competition will be drawn up in the catalogue of the IX Edition of “Acqui Prize for Engraving”.

The names of the Authors of the 236 works selected by the Expert Jury have been published on our website: if you wish to display them, please click here.

The Expert Jury has furthermore pointed out 26 works worthy of participating in the final evaluation of Acqui Prize 2009 and, therefore, of competing for Acqui Prize 2009 and for Purchase Prize, Jury Special Prize, Young, Brachetto d’Acqui Consortium and Febo.

The names of the Authors of the 26 works in the finals will be published at the end of February 2009, the name of the winning Artists will be made public only on the occasion of the International Biennial Opening Ceremony for Engraving on the 20th of June 2009.
